my goals for 2015:

my goals for 2015 were:

* get neater handwriting
* get better at spelling

I think I have improved a lot at my goal compered the begging of the year.

My next step is to get better at these goals and be 100% before high school.

my maths assessment.

This is my maths assessment task I did for my maths prove it. All I did is figured out how much each cost and then filled in the chart. 

I think I got to extend abstract because I got 100 on most of the task I got and I could teach some If I had to.

My next step is to be able to complete my goal faster so I can move on faster.

Koru Games 2015

Over the last 3 days I have been competing in Koru Games for 2015 I have been playing netball.

 I have really enjoyed playing against all the different teams because it was cool seeing all the different schools play and having fun together.

Thinking back to the beginning of the year, I think I have really improved because I have gotten better at the sport in general.

Something I will remember  is all the smiles when we won the first game.

my next step is: to finish my goal faster and better.

I think I got to a solo level extended abstract because I got 100 on IXL, and I can solve simple simultaneous equations which I have to do to get the year 9 standard.

Today I had librarian, it was a lot of fun because I was super busy because I was on with Olivia but she quit and joined the book club so I was by myself on the desk. But the library was a bit quiet so  I go through everything I needed to do.  I showed leadership by not going off task and keeping positive that I was doing my job right.

merit evidence: can do , peer mediation

Today I had peer mediation on but this week it was with different two boys and they showed up on time for once. so went on our duty and this week there was heaps of people came to us with problems but since we are in the junior school it was all not too big problems and they all got sorted out. It was a busy week but all the problems got sorted out in the end.  It felt good to help with their problems.

Merit evidence: must do, patisapate in school advents

Today we had cross country it was at the halswell domain, I found it very hard but I kept going and made it to the end. When we arrived Mr Forman sat us down and talk to us about the rest of the day. Then the house captains led us through some games it was lots of fun. I showed leadership by cheering for everyone one and showing a positive attitude towards the cross country.

Merit Evidence: Librarian

Today I was on librarian duty and over the last few weeks I have been remembering which week I have been on for duty. I was on this week and I think I did a great job as I carried out my duties. First I filed books and then I moved onto the front desk and helped little kids get some books out and I found some worm books for Mrs Hall and I also returned and reserved books for lots of different people. Overall I think i did a pretty good job and it was lots of fun.

                    So is the R is 5 then all you do is use the formula....
             
                    So all I am doing is 5 x 3.14= 15.70
              
                    Now you take 15.70 x 2 = 31.40

The cold icy wind blows the freshly laded snow thought out the winters day, as the penguins feet waddle around to find some fish to eat, they look so cute thought and through out the day, but it is so cold as they are waddling they can see a Pole bear in the distance, with a Benin on, but when they find there pride position  everything is worth it, and you know penguins love fish like a little boy love Christmas.

Merit evidence : Can do, Libraian

On Wednesday it was my week off from librarian duty but I still went in to see if Miss Ward needed any help with anything. It turned out that she did so I helped her with taping the books so they don't rip and fall to bits. I showed leadership by being proactive going and helping out in the school.

On Tuesday I was showing leadership by helping some little kids because they didn't know where the pozie box was and they also didn't know what shoe to put on what foot. They seemed happy that I was there and the little kid then showed all his friends what to do.

Merit Evidence: Can Do, Peer Mediation

On Tuesday when it was my turn to do my peer mediation duty the two boys that were also on never turned up.  I used my initiative to find someone else to help me on my duty.  I was successful in finding a year 7 girl to help me.  We had no one come up to us on duty but that is a good thing as it means that there has been no problems during lunch time.

Merit Evidence: Can Do, Librarian

  
On Wednesday I had my librarian duty and this week I did a job that I hadn't done before.  So I had to learn how to do it and I listen carefully to Miss Ward.  The job was to put tape on the different parts of the book to ensure the pages didn't fall out were protected.  Miss Ward said I did a good job and was pleased with my work.  It was fun to do a new job and it shows me how much work is involved with being a librarian.

Merit Evidence: House Point Coordinator

On  Monday we had full school assembly and Molly and I had to get everything ready for the assembly, we had to get all the bags ready with pozi's for the Teachers, Principal and Deputy Principals.  It was very busy and a felt like a mad rush but we worked together and go the job done. In the assembly I got a surprise as they called my name out to come up and collect my badge for being House Points Coordinator and Mrs Trotter shook my hand.  I felt proud and important.

Merit Evidence: Zone Swimming

On Tuesday I went to the South West Swimming Zones representing Oakland's School in the backstroke.  It was exciting to be there but I was quite nervous waiting for my race.  But once my race started I forgot about my nerves and swam as quick as I could.  I finished 5th in my race and I was pleased with my effort.  It was lots of fun but also I found it challenging.

Merit Evidence: Can Do, Librarian

 
On Wednesday I had my first librarian day, it was just Olivia and I as the two other boys were on camp.  I read several books to some little kids which was fun and they seemed to enjoy it.  Olivia and I worked together on issuing books, Olivia scanned the books and I stamped them this was efficient and evidence of good team work.  I love working in the library it is lots of fun.

On Tuesday I had peer mediation, I remembered to show up for my duty but the two others that were on with me didn't show so I showed initiative by going and finding them to join me on duty.  I found one of the boys but he didn't want to do peer mediation and I couldn't find the other boy.  I managed to find another person to fill in and help me on my duty.

Merit evidence: Must do, particpate in school events.

On Tuseday we had a kauri swimming fun day. I showed leadership by helping Miss Brean with the sticks for the pozis and I also did the false start rope for Mr Forman. In the swimming races I got 1st in backstrock, 2nd in freestyle, and my team got 2nd in the relay. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it and I am sure everyone also enjoyed it to.

Merit evidence: Can do, peer mediation

On Tuesday I did peer mediation after returning from Technology and I was on in the junior School.  As I am a group leader I got all the members of my group together and we went to the junior part of the school to do our peer mediation duty.  I showed leadership by showing the members of my team how to use the peer mediation form and I think I explained it well as when I checked if they understood they all new the answers.  I enjoyed my peer mediation even though we didn't get any issues but it was fun teaching the other members of my group.

Merit evidence: must do, be considerate on the bus to and back from technology.

On tuseday we went to technology and on the bus on the way there a lot of people that were being very loud and not showing respect or leadership qualities.  Rebecca J and I made sure that we were only talking to each other quietly as required but it was hard because the people behind us on the bus kept on trying to talk to us, we tried our best to ignore and when we got to Lincoln we asked those people only to talk to us if we were next to them.  On the way back from technology the bus was much quieter and most people were just talking to the person next to them about what they had done at technology. Technology is fun and I learn a lot.

Must Do: Participated in a School Event

On Friday we had a whole school fun day. I showed leadership by organising all the Pozis for the house captains and and head students. I all so got involved with all of the kids that I could throughout the day letting kids know where to put their Pozi's they got. It was a fun day and I had fun organising the Pozis.  I saw lots of kids throughout the day having lots of fun too, so overall it was a fantastic day and every one who got involved have a great day.

Merit Evidence: Peer Mediation
Today I remembered to turn up to my duty,but the two boys that were on duty with me didn't so I had to go and find them. When I found them we went and did our duty together.  Over our duty period we had only one boy come up to us as he couldn't find any one to play with, so we all went and found him some friends to play with.  When our time was up we all went and found the other students who were on duty next. I felt good to see that little boy have such a fun time with his new friends.
